Xiaoran Liu is a leading bamboo flute performer of his generation, celebrated for his expressive style that bridges traditional Chinese music and contemporary interpretation. A top-ranked graduate of Minzu University of China, he has collaborated with renowned composers and performed at major venues including the National Centre for the Performing Arts and abroad in Singapore.
Currently based in North America, Liu is the sole bamboo flute artist with the Chinese Musicians Association of North America. In 2025, he was invited to teach and perform at institutions such as SUNY and Yale University, continuing his mission of cross-cultural musical exchange.
